With Moldings, Size Matters
Short Hills, NJ, Before and After: New, larger moldings with a faux ebony finish give these doorways a sense of importance. The size upgrade now puts them in scale with the room's high ceilings.
Before: The beautiful views from this Lebanon Township, NJ kitchen demanded that the window be the focal point of this room.
After: New larger moldings were installed, custom finished to match the kitchen cabinets. Despite the size of the moldings, the window does not feel too heavy for the space, as it would have if it extended to the floor. Instead it appears to float.
Cornices, Columns & More
Initially these standard columns were painted white and did little to contribute to the decor and architecture of this Branchburg, NJ home. Now that they are finished in a variety of decorative plasters they add interest to the space and better define their rooms' boundaries.
Pittstown, NJ, Before: The owners of this kitchen wanted to add some decorative details to their kitchen.
After: Custom cornices, finished to match the kitchen island, were installed over the kitchen window and the sliding glass doors in the eating area.
Moldings Make the Room
Detailed moldings with a faux stone and gold finish give the moldings in this Bridgewater, NJ home the old world elegance they needed.
Basking Ridge, NJ: A breakfast nook with a French Country flair called out for extra attention to details. This crackle finish added the right amount of whimsy and interest to the space. This home was fetured in a 2006 issue of NJ House & Home Magazine.
Princeton, NJ: Intricately carved moldings are brought to life with a glazed plaster finish, highlighted with gold accents. The end result perfectly complements the rooms decor.
