New Doors Were Necessary

Before: Once the owners of this Ringoes, NJ kitchen put in new countertops, they were stuck with their cabinets. The thermafoil doors were yellowing and delaminating, with the outer coating peeling off of the particle board bases. They also realized they never really used the desk area and it was an eyesore. They did, however, like the light, bright color of the cabinets.

After: A custom range hood was built for above the cooktop. The entire desk area was reconfigured, with the granite being salvaged and reused. The new space houses the microwave and a coffee station, along with some functional counter space. Upscale details including larger crowns, side panels, and a refrigerator surround were added. New wood doors replaced the old ones, with all of the main cabinets receiving our "Snowflake Cream" finish. The island was transformed and upgraded to furniture status with a post and panel treatment, a wine bin, and our "Cherry Cordial" finish.

Before: The cabinets in this Chester, NJ home were ruined by a sloppy glaze job and an HGTV style of tile application. The new homeowners tried to make the cabinets work by installing granite. They were still disappointed, so they called us. And we gave them a transformation which left them delighted!

All of the doors were replaced and the main cabinets were colored in "Wood Moss," a green-taupe, painted glazed finish with pearlescent details, while the island received a warm caramel treatment. The buffet area received glass doors, while the roll-tops for the appliance garage were replaced with hinged doors. The insides of the glass cabinets were treated with beadboard and the same finish as the island.
