Together, owners Deborah and Arthur Orchowski have over 40 years experience in the decorative arts and design business. Deborah's background is decorative finishing and fine art, and she began her decorative finishing company in 1996. For many years Art operated a kitchen and bath renovation company in northern New Jersey, which offered new installations as well as cabinet refinishing services.

Art and Deborah met and became dance partners, never imagining that they would also be working together someday. Art took an interest in Deborah's finishing business and eventually they pooled their resources, product knowledge and technical expertise. Over the years they developed their own lines of glazed and stained finishes for cabinetry, as well as architectural designs for cabinet refacing. Somewhere along the way they even got married.

Artisan Interiors is now comprised of a team of dedicated people with a variety of talents and strengths. Initial estimates and consultations are held at the Artisan Interiors showroom, located at their finishing facility off of Route 12 in Frenchtown, Kingwood Township, NJ. There, homeowners can view finishes for cabinets and other surfaces, carpentry applications, and a portfolio of completed projects. This facility accommodates carpentry and finishing for retail clients, as well as 'To the Trade' services. With its ground level bay and separate rooms for all phases of finishing, this location is perfectly laid out to accept deliveries from and execute finishing jobs for cabinet makers, builders, and related tradesmen.

Located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Artisan Interiors primarily services Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris, and Mercer Counties in New Jersey, Bucks County in Pennsylvania, and select jobs beyond.

And we can't forget Polly, Head of Shop Security.

Art and Deborah continue to work together, still do a bit of dancing, and even host their own radio show, 'Steppiní Out with Art & Deb.' They play a mix of swing, big band, American Songbook, and even some jazz, Sunday evenings from 9 pm until midnight. If you live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania or Hunterdon County, New Jersey you can hear them at WDVR, 89.7 on the FM dial, or 91.9 in Princeton, Lawrenceville, and Trenton. If you are outside of these areas you can listen on the web at www.wdvrfm.org.
